When I began working for MGM Resorts, I was the social media strategist over the corporate handle with an emphasis on our Meetings and Conventions and Careers social channels. Through copywriting campaigns and ensuring their completion through dedicated project management, I was promoted to the role of producer. I continued to copywrite on the creative content team and together we shot, edited and produced incredible pieces of the MGM Resorts story.

Fourth of July 2019

It is no surprise that the Fourth of July is a high-booking time for Las Vegas and I was tasked with creating a social media campaign for our drive-in customers showcasing the resorts. I had been wanting to showcase the Seven Magic Mountains that guests from California passed on their way to the city and tie the sights of the neon rocks to the sights of our neon city. I wrote three scenes to be captured by stop motion of three friends running through the desert, pool floaties in hand, driving down the strip and finally making it to the cool waters of Mandalay Bay. Without using any budget other than a Jeep rental, a few coworkers and I were able to shoot in one day and without any paid support, this campaign was one of the highest performing of the year!

I Want You Back - Follower Acquisition Sweepstakes

After the excitement of New Year’s Eve, MGM Resorts had a business need to drive traffic back to the city and capitalize on all the openings that occurred over the NYE weekend. I concepted and copy-wrote a video called “I Want You Back” which swept through various properties and reminded guests that Las Vegas missed them.

There is Always Luck - St. Patrick’s Day 2019

For St. Patrick’s Day of 2019, I wanted to take a different approach to the idea of ‘luck’ and Las Vegas. My goal in writing this campaign was to emphasize that luck was more than slot machines dinging; it was the joy of city, it was a good cocktail, it was the charming corners of the hundreds of food and beverage outlets within MGM Resorts.
