Vegas ON
role: sr. social content strategist client: las vegas convention and visitors authority
On February 2, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority launched a new magazine style web series called Vegas On, bringing you the latest on everything happening in the Entertainment Capital of the World. The show is hosted on VisitLasVegas.com and the Visit Las Vegas YouTube channel.
As the Sr. Content Strategist, I used SEO, current YouTube trends and Las Vegas happenings to design each episode. Thoughtfully, I developed the segments used in the show and outlined the subsequent material of what should be filmed. The show was new for both the client and agency and working efficiently with teams was the key to its success.
Vegas ON filled a need for the client in the YouTube space. There had been many content series of episodic content over the years, but this allowed the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to be industry leaders with polished, fun and informative videos about how tourists could spend their next Vegas vacation.
By the numbers
The VegasOn landing page reached nearly 6.9K total visits during the first two days it was live, with 91.1% of visitors having not previously visited the site during this two-day period.
During the time I was involved in the project (Episodes 1-8), 51,000 sessions were driven to the page with more than 56,000 unique page views.
In Q2, videos received a total of 41,855,101 video views across the board, a total of 273.4K hours were spent watching our videos and gained an additional 339 subscribers.
